1- Who can learn online ?
Anyone from 16 years old. You just need a (free) skype or zoom account, and you have to know how to use a computer. You do not need to be an expert in computing. You can start learning a new language at any age. I had the pleasure to teach to a 70 years old student.
2- Can I try out a French lesson prior to enrolling ?
I offer a free trial class before you commit to a course with me. This 30 minutes lesson/interview is totally free and without any commitment. The goal of the trial class is to find out what are your objectives and if I can ensure that my teaching method is adapted to you. After the trial class, I send you a learning program you can accept or no.
3 – For how many lessons will I sign up?
Once you approved the learning program and you have decided to commit to a course with me, I offer a regular course package of 10 private French classes (10 hours).
4 – How and when will I pay ?
Payment for the course is due before the first French class.
You can pay with paypal, credit card or bank transfer.
4 – What is the cancellation policy ?
A student must give 24 hours’ notice to cancel the class during the working week. If a shorter notice period is given, the lesson will be charged 50%. So, if you have to cancel or reschedule a French class, please let me know by e-mail or text, at least 24 hours in advance, to avoid charges.
5 – Will I have an initial assessment to evaluate my level ?
During the free trial lesson, I can define your level and if you need a level attestation, we can schedule a full hour test.
6 – Are French classes conducted exclusively in French ?
Yes. From the very first class, I will speak french and you will be surprised you understand. Of course, we can use english or spanish to communicate if necessary.
7 – How long does it take to be fluent in french ?
I can not answer this question. It depends on your level, the frequency of classes, the place where you live, your language profile …
You will acquire the basis within 20 hours.
8 – Will I be reimbursed if I have to stop my French classes?
If for different personal reasons, you have to cancel the classes, I won’t directly offer a reimbursement but I can try to find solutions to reschedule. This is why I ask you to be sure when your purchase a package of 10 classes.
Our contract is valid for 6 months (extended to 1 year to larger volume). After this period of time, the contract is no more valid.
9 – Will you provide an invoice?
As a company, French Class Online provides a quotation, a contract and an invoice as well as a payment receipt.
10 – Do I get a diploma?
You wont get a diploma but I will give you an attestation and a level attestation.
